Last Thursday, we had the opportunity to attend the book launch at the prestigious AUCC. It was an absolute honor to be introduced to the captivating masterpiece titled "Afajato: Stories from Around the Volta Lake."
This book was written by 15 unique authors, and each stories offers its own perspective and narrative making the anthology incredibly rich and varied . It's like a puzzle where each piece fits perfectly to form a complete picture. It was edited and compiled by Nana S. A Achempong.
According to one of the author , Ellen Diamond , author of Amenuveve she has been inspired by her mother to write about health because she’s a midwife .
The event was a fantastic celebration, where everyone was welcomed with open arms. During the ceremony we had a poetry recital ,a book review and an interview done by some students. It created a special atmosphere that encouraged attendees to connect and explore the captivating stories being shared. It was truly a memorable experience for the students. In the art of storytelling, this anthology not only honors and preserves the cultural legacy of the Volta region but also invites readers to immerse themselves in a tapestry of diverse viewpoints and lived experiences.
