We are in February and love is everywhere in the air , what’s better than talking about «ODO NNYEW FIE KWAN» an Adinkra symbol which means «Love Will never lost its way home» .Adinkra symbol is a set of symbols that come from Akan people and hold great importance in Ghanaian culture. These appealing symbols serve as a form of communication, conveying messages, proverbs, and wisdom.

Love, according to Spinoza, is also joy. More precisely, love is power, the power to enjoy and therefore the enjoyment in power. Love is a source of strength and happiness, allowing us to experience joy and fulfillment.

According to Akan  people ,«Odo ye owu» literally Love is death and alternatively Love is unto death .

In other terms to love someone is to be prepared to die for the person .This fits perfectly with the Christian idea that there’s no greater love than a man lay down his  life for his friends

Odo Nnyew Fie Kwam also means « heart don’t be hard»

And it serve as a reminder to always keep an open heart and to not let bitterness and resentment take over which I  think  its a good advice to young couple .This symbol is mostly used to remind people to let go of grudges. Made of circles representing the heart and smaller circles surrounding represent negative emotions and thoughts that can harden the heart

He added « when I saw this I couldn’t resist its African , authentic and original »

The importance of Adinkra symbols lies in their ability to preserve Ghanaian culture ,history and values .
