 Ursula Abanga  Alberta Mortty  Akorfa Dawson  Benjamin Cyril Arthur  Theses are some authors of the collection of  book called Afajato  ,the stories from around the Volta lake. Each author brought up their own perspective and experience from fantastic to common and from childhood experiences to traumatizing situations.  While according to Alberta, her story is drawn from her own childhood, for Ursula, her story is entirely concocted from her own imagination and her roommate , unlike Akorfa wrote an almost incomplete story but complete for herself  as she allows the reader to finish the story according to their own imagination. When asked about the writing process of their stories, they unanimously responded that it was difficult because none of them spoke Ewe. They had to refer to their mother for Benjamin and to her roommates for Ursula. It was a funny event where students, lecturer and authors were having fun laughing, talking and playing ...

Kwame brenya book launch

Last week Wednesday, we had the opportunity to meet meet a man  who is so talented and versatile Kwame Brenya inside Ama Ata Aidoo center for creative writing .He is a Ghanaian writer, artist, poet and musician. Mr Kwame brenya introduced us to his book called Adinkra Kasa  is a poetry collection written in Asante twi and English the poems are based on Akan Adinkra symbols, Ghana’s economy , spirituality etc..  « Adinkra is speaking through me » he said ..
